HALO2 TRAILER : Just wondering what the land mass is that was shown.I thought Florida at first but it looks too wide, but maybe the west coastof the US!?!An interview with one of the creators of the trailer hinted at the "landmass" being the West coast... and that one of the Covenant bombs nails anarea of some interest in the state of Washington (I'm guessing Redmond).If you look closely it is the west coast. Washington is at the top left and if compared to a map its quite accurate. Right near the end 4 nukes are dropped in the washington area, although when they said that in the interview I thought it would be a huge explosion or something. (Note MP9 did work just fine before the reboot, it just wouldn't let me to the page until I did).The same crap happened to me. after u downloaded it probaly gave u a little box that said it could only be downloaded with the certain types of window programs including 98 SECOND EDITION. i how over only have 1st edition. to see if this is ur problem right click on ur my computer icon and select properties. there it should tell u what type of windows u have. But I wonder how many downloaded a 12 MB player download just to watch it ? I hope you all did something first before you DL'ed the 12MB download. First, I downloaded that huge a** file. Then I opened up the file with my current Windows MEdia player which is Version #7. It didnt play at first because the media player searched for a CODEC to download to play the file. It took all of 15 seconds or so to download the CODEC and I was well on my way having my jaws knocked to the ground by the awsomeness of the trailer. HALO 2 is a great thought, but how many like that "Pyramid of Dsetruction" vid in the August OXM ? I know I still play that for a laugh, and I hope that Bungie would do something like that for us in the wait of HALO2. It would tide us all over, and would definitley be a blast. Just imagine a game with all hunters or something? Get my drift ? HALO2 TRAILER : I was tricked into downloading and installing Windows Media Player 9 by . I wanted to view the trailer for the X Box Halo game- in order to view it, I had to down load Windows Media Player 9. What a mess! Now I can now longer view media files that require passwords online. Microsoft says that this feature will be back when they go final- but that is not good enough. The other solution is to remove 9 from my computer, but the only way that I can do that is through system restore (since I use XP)- which will mean that I will lose all the other programs (many of which are Microsoft) that I installed since downloading Windows Media Player 9. I believe that Microsoft owes it to all of us who they tricked into downloading the program and update that fixes the password problem NOW- not when they go final with the product whenever that may wind up being! System restore is unacceptable to this consumer!
