LOTR TRAILER : Did anybody even know that the TPM teaser trailer was going to be availablefor download at first? A lot of people (like me) were probably too busyfilling the theaters to see it to even know there was going to be adownload. I found out about the Quicktime file later. When I saw thetrailer in the theater, I was so jazzed about it that I went home assumingsomeone on the web would've bootlegged it. When I searched for a boot, Iended up finding out about the official site's version. But Lucasfilm hadnever announced it's availability ahead of time as far as I know.Having said that, the Lord of the Rings trailer was indeed exciting andthough I'm not really a fan (I'll try to read the first book for my firsttime before the film comes out), I bet many see it as a fantasy filmexperience that is going to be a strong rival to Star Wars. Maybe evenbetter in some opinions. And that's a pretty cool thing, if you ask me.It'll maybe even tide us over while the wait for Ep. II continues. LOTR TRAILER : Okay, but you're talking general time periods. I'm saying, the firsttrailer came out Nov. 17, 1998 or something like that. Was it's onlineavailability announced in advance like LOTR or did it just show up thatevening like it apparently happened. I keep pretty close tabs on the sitesthat would've announced it, but I don't remember any such notice.Otherwise, I wouldn't have been in such a rush to the theater on the day thetrailer was to be shown with waterboy, joe black, etc. That for sure wasannounced in advance because throngs of people went out to see it.Personally I would've gotten the download first, the went to the theaterlater on, had something been announced.
