RESIDENT EVIL TRAILER : Resident Evil is not a horror themed game...there are very little, if anymoments in any of the series that are actually frightening (unless youre a bigpussy and are scared JUST by things jumping out at you or hearing little soundsin the distance). Since the majority of the series is becoming moreaction-oriented, then the RE series can be classified as action. Most fansagree the RE2 is the best one of the series...its not scary, its not incrediblysuspenseful, but there's lots of ACTION. Nemesis...a fan favorite. He himselfis not scary, not frightening nor intimidating. The sequences and fights he wasin had lots of ACTION. Tell me, in which game would you more likely see anassault rifle...sub-machine guns...rocket launchers...magnums...grenadelaunchers.. .flash grenades...tazers...rapid-fire handguns...high-poweredshotguns...rollin g boulders...explosions...high-tech labs...action, or horror?The series is ACTION. Adventure. Sci-Fi. Not really horror anymore, except forthe first one, and a little bit in Zero... RESIDENT EVIL TRAILER : I am furthermore thoroughly convinced that you have never seen the Matrix,since you (and several other people who I am also convinced have never seen theMatrix) refer to the RE movie as having matrix effects...tell me where in themovie they went slow motion while a character is in mid-air, and THEN rotatedthe camera. THAT is the only truly original Matrix effect. Slow motion itself,people running on walls...has been done hundreds of times before in othermovies. Just to let you know, The Matrix DID NOT invent slow motion, nor did itinvent running up on walls. Watch Mortal Kombat (which came out YEARS beforethe matrix did), watch any martial arts film, youre guaranteed to see somewall-running. And Alice didnt even RUN UP A WALL, she jumped and kicked off ofit. Hell, give me some shoes that actually have some good grip and I can dothat...but if youre gonna bash that, how come youre not bashing Mikami forhaving Wesker run up on walls in Code Veronica? The game has a creepy gothic style, lots of differentenemies including giant spiders and bats, government agents in suits, and amad scientist behind it all. This crap on film looks like a low-budgetGeorge Romero knockoff (!) with some lame chop socky and CGI special effectsstolen from The Matrix stuck on. There was so much materialto work with, and instead they somehow turn HOUSE of the Dead into an islandhorror movie with a RAVE? What the hell were they thinking? I think anyone would have had so much fun justwriting the dialogue. That's how I'd imagine the movie: heavy actionand dialogue. I wouldn't think B-movie in terms of special effects andwhatnot, because House of the Dead has always had nice effect, and Ithink bad effects would keep it from being a good action movie. Itshouldn't have those crappy Matrix effects, which have no place in thegame or movie. :/
