My guess it is 5'8" max inside.No it doesn't have gas doors in the side. It has the old stlye barndoors front and rear with ramps that you must put in place to load andunload. It is the model before the drop down ramps. It has semi curveddoors on the front, but basically is the box style trailer, no pointed Vnose. So, here it is:I called a bunch of places (Snowmobile/mc dealers)For around $800 you can get a left over model of a 3 rail mc trailer.It has three rails, but will only carry 2 bikes, the middle rail beingfor when you are only transporting 1 bike.For around 600 you can get a snowmobile trailer, and the dealer will bolton 2 sets of wheel chucks, and your in business.You can check the MC mags, swapper mags etc and hope to pickup a used onefor ???I got lucky. I went to pickup my Beemer at the dealer, and I asked him whathe knew about trailers etc. He said he was trying to sell their old oneso that they could by an easy loader (An easy loader has a crank and belt, so that you can just crank the bike unto the trailer instead of pushing it)It was a 3 rail trailer, and it was in perfect shape, except that the paintwas starting to peel. So, I got it for 400. I need to scrape, prime and paint it, and I'm in business. SNOWMOBILE TRAILER : I will be renting it to any rec'ers who are in my area and could use it.Oh, 1 note. I was talking to a guy who does welding and specializes inboat, off road RV trailers, and said to be carful if you purchase a trailerthat was not made specifically for MC, because even if it is rated to hold the proper amount of weight, a MC concentrates all the wait onto2 very small contact patches, and when hitting a bug bump, may exceed thestructural limits of the trailer. He used the snowmobile trailer as anexample. While snowmobiles may weigh approx the same as MC, they have2 skis and a big belt to distribute the weight. He said that you probablycould get away with a snowmobile trailer for infrequent use (local) butsince I was going long distance (NH to Colo) he suggested a MC trailer.By the way, he is not in the business of selling trailers, and nothingto gain by convincing me either way. I even asked if he knew anybodyi could go see about buying, and he said no.
