SPIDERMAN TRAILER : Assuming the composers get compensated, it seems that there is little foranyone to really complain about, besides being annoyed by music from one moviebeing used on the trailer for another. It is not as annoying to me as hearingGershwin on a Delta Airlines commercial.I got to hear some of Gershwin's Piano concerto, but that was with UnitedAirlines. Except that it was a sort of terrible easy-play version with whatsounded suspiciously like a synthetic orchestral accompaniment. That andtheir foul-up on my ticket charges means I shall never use them again.The Spiderman trailer is the only one to use "Pompeii" as far as I know.The Time Machine trailer uses selections from "Tikal", as does MinorityReport.Planet Of The Apes used the final section of "Menouthis".If you are giving information, at least try to make it accurate.Really?Cool... pity about the flick though. It looks good, but Spielberg hasn'tmade a good flick since Schindler's List IMHO. SPIDERMAN TRAILER : If anyone has already seen the Spiderman trailer, it is now shut down. If you don't haveQuicktime Pro, you should be able to pull it out of your browser's cache.I won't work unless you have the full pro version of Quicktime. I just spenta LARGE chunk of time this weekend finding that out. The only thing thatsaves in cache is a 1KB file that I assume is the link to the file. I wasultimately unable to view or save the full screen version because I have a56 K connection. If anyone knows of any place I can download a keeper, Iwould be grateful. It's available at Anyway, Peter Parker is Tobey Maguire (the kid from Pleasantvilleand Ciderhouse Rules). Kirsten Dunst looks to be Mary Jane. Thevillian is going to be the Green Goblin played by Willem Dafoe. Thecasting looks great. Can't wait for the movie to come out, that's for SURE!The one I have saved is around 2 and a half minutes long. Dont know if thatsthe one you saw, but it looks to have the chance to be better then Batman (whenit comes to comic movies). They have changed a few things (like his webbingcomes right out of his hand now instead of cartridges). Why the Goblin has agreen suit of armor bothers me though. SPIDERMAN TRAILER : I went to a LOTR opening night screening and I sat through the flurryof debut trailers and teasers. THey had the more complete Spidermantrailer and I'm very disappointed. The movie looks reeeeaaaalllly bad. The story looks cheesy but most of allthe special effects that were touted so highly look really fake andartificial. For all the money and hype around this film you'd thinkthey'd use a better SFX house. The SFX kinda made it look more likecomic book-y which made me think that could be the look they woregoing for. But it doesn't make much sense mixed in with the rest ofthe movie. I dunno we'll see how it is when it comes out this summerbut I'm sure I won't be in line on opening day any more for this one.Any other thoughts on the spidy movie and trailer??
