THE MATRIX TRAILER : Sorry for not being specific, Joseph. The techno music used in the middle andat the end of the extended Matrix theatrical trailer was composed by John Beal.He confirmed this fact via e-mail.The choral music is "Eyes of Truth" by Enigma (on the CD "Cross of Changes").This was confirmed by listening to the CD and comparing it to the trailer.The other two songs were also confirmed by comparing to the respective CDs.Okay, so is only the choral piece from Eyes of Truth and it was just mixedin over the techno-classical music by John Beal or what? And is it the samepiece that is on the DVD menu? Pretty much-I had the same question as the original poster. Ilistened to a clip of the album version of "Eyes of Truth" at Towerrecords website, and it doesn't sound like the trailer music *at all*.So, I'm going to assume that the *exact* trailer music appears at somepoint in the *album* version of "Eyes of Truth"? THE MATRIX TRAILER : I know almost everyone is excited and gearing up for The Matrix. It looksvisually stunning and sci fi is *almost* always fun at the movies, but I get abad feeling watching the trailer that all it's gonna have is great specialeffects. Two things that left a bad taste in my mouth and a groan crawling upmy throat:Some guy says "Humans are the disease, we're the cure." Ok, you can't judge amovie by one line, but how many times have we heard THAT line? This is one ofthe oldest threats a non human species can make. Hell, Virus even used it inIT'S trailer!The guy sucks. Remember Johnny Pneumonic? Neither does anyone else. The onlythings this guy is know for is Ted and a VERY BAD John Harker from Dracula.Apparently he's going for "what he knows best" because he does a very Ted-like"Whooooaaa" in the trailer to Matrix. THE MATRIX TRAILER : I recently saw a demo DVD in a CompUSA store that was playing "The Matrix"trailer over and over. It sounded so compelling that I decided to go buy the"score" (orchestral) and see if I could find the music I'd heard on thetrailer. On the plus side, I really enjoyed the score written by Don Davis.Unfortunately, it did not contain the bit of music I was looking for. Iunderstand that there is also a "soundtrack" for this film with music fromMarilyn Manson, etc.The music I heard in the trailer included a bit of orchestral music with choralmixed in. Specifically, there were two chords that struck me. I'll try todescibe them in musical terms. The first chord was something like C, Eflat, G,Bflat, which crescendoed into the second chord (E,G,B,D +/-), which alsocrescendoed to the end of the phrase.I assume you want to know the music on the trailer? The song is "The Eyes of Truth"by Enigma. It is available only as an import in a "Single" CD with 4 differentremixes of the same song on it. The Trailer song is the "Radio Edit". This song isavailable on MP3, but is extremely rare to come by. THE MATRIX TRAILER : NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Warner Bros. Pictures thinks the Arena FootballLeague and its upcoming film "The Matrix Reloaded" are a perfect match. The studio has partnered with NBC Sports to show the trailer for the "Matrix"sequel for the first time on broadcast television during NBC's Arena FootballLeague coverage April 13. The 2-1/2-minute trailer will air at 3 p.m. EDTacross all of NBC's regional games. The film opens May 15. No cash changed hands for the promotion, in which NBC gets free content toattract young men to its AFL games while Warners enjoys free promotion. NBCwill hype the spot to TV sportswriters as well as on affiliates and networkspots. Warners will promote the trailer across its owned media like "AccessHollywood," according to NBC senior vp programming Jon Miller, who arranged thedeal for the network.
